Living Waters Assembly of God is a standing member of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and stands firmly in the mainstream of historical Christianity. It takes the Bible as its all-sufficient source of faith and practice, and subscribes to the historic creeds of the universal church. In common with historical, evangelical Christianity, it emphasizes Christ as Saviour and coming King. It also presents Christ as Healer, and it adopts the distinctive position that speaking in tongues is the initial evidence when Christ baptizes in the Holy Spirit. The  name Pentecost; comes from the Book of Acts and the event of Pentecost, where early Christians received the gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2 says, “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.” The first Pentecost was considered the start of the church’s mission to spread the gospel to the world. The first Pentecost took place 50 days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ and fulfilled prophecies of both Jesus and John the Baptist, where baptism of the Holy Spirit would become a reality once Jesus Christ our Jewish messiah was crucified on the cross of Calvary and resurrected. We believe that salvation is through accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, and healing is possible through Him and He is returning again.
